Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant Admiral George V. Ursabia Jr. visited Bais City, Negros Oriental, on July 8, 2021, to discuss various issues and concerns related to the coast guard and to conduct a site inspection of the proposed Coast Guard Base and Training Center at Capiñahan Wharf in Brgy. Capiñahan.Mayor Mercedes Teves-Goñi was filled with so much joy as Admiral Ursabia Jr. visited the city despite his very hectic schedule. Mayor Goñi strongly believed that the admiral’s presence rekindles and reinforces the same commitment towards the preservation, protection, and conservation of our marine resources.“Admiral, you can be assured of the same amount of commitment from the leadership of Bais City’s local government unit towards the same advocacy in improving the youth through training and interdisciplinary development,” the mayor added.The occasion was also graced by the presence of Admiral Ursabia’s wife, Mrs. Agnes Ursabia; Rear Admiral Jose William Isaga, Commander for Central Visayas District; Commander Jay Sustento; Commander Jose Marie Cucharo; Commander Vino Garcia; Lt.
